The third edition of the BiH standard BAS EN 13659: 2021, Shutters and external venetian blinds - Performance requirements including safety, was adopted by the translation method through the Technical Committee BAS/TC 60, Doors and windows, of the Institute for Standardization of BiH.

The original text of this European standard was prepared by the Technical Committee CEN/TC 33, Doors, windows, shutters, building hardware and curtain walling, whose secretariat is held by AFNOR.

BAS EN 13659: 2021 specifies the performance requirements for shutter and external venetian blinds intended to be fitted externally to buildings and other construction works. It applies to all shutters and external venetian blinds, whatever their use and nature of the materials used.
