The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as in previous years, co-organized the Regional Conference and Fair “Sfera 2026”.

The conference was held in Sarajevo (Hotel Hills) on February 10 and 11, 2026, and the theme was: “Concrete Technology”.

“Sfera” is a traditional conference that has, for more than a decade, brought together eminent experts from various fields. It provides opportunities for establishing domestic and regional cooperation, communication, education, and the advancement of new technologies, as well as for expanding knowledge across different disciplines. Special emphasis is placed on public engagement and motivating young people—future experts—to develop their creative and professional skills, as well as on the overall progress and development of society.

As in previous years, the conference and fair once again gathered a large number of exhibitors from across the region, along with distinguished experts who presented their work, achievements, and visions of future development in various fields.

The conference was officially opened by Mr. Mirsad Jašarspahić from the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized the importance of continuously organizing such events, noting that during these two days, Sarajevo—the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina—was, at least briefly, transformed into a regional hub for the development of the construction industry, new technologies, and innovation.

In the opening session, Ms. Hafiza Zametica also addressed the participants on behalf of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She expressed her particular satisfaction that the Institute is once again participating in the conference. She highlighted that “Sfera” has grown into a tradition that continues to expand each year andalso stated that it is a great honor and pleasure to welcome all participants on behalf of the Institute and wished them a successful and productive conference.
