On November 19, 2020, Director of the Institute for Standardization of BiH Aleksandar Cincar and Director of the Institute for Metrology of BiH Zijad Džemić held a business meeting with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to BiH, Her Excellency Ivana Hlavsova at the Embassy in Sarajevo. The Institute for Standardization of BiH and the Institute for Metrology of BiH have years of successful cooperation both with each other and with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in BiH, the Czech Development Agency and the Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing of the Czech Republic.

At the meeting discussed the continuation of the cooperation between the Institute for Standardization of BiH and partners from the Czech Republic was discussed. In the period from 2015 to 2018, ISBIH successfully implemented the project “Support to the capacities of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of application of Eurocode” with the above mentioned institutions.

On that occasion, the continuation of cooperation through a new two-year project (2020-2022) was confirmed, which will contribute to increase the quality and safety of structures on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina by improving the standardization system in the field of construction, as well as the competitiveness of domestic construction products and their placement on the EU market.
