In order to improve its business, the Institute for Standardization of BiH is working on the deployment of new technologies, i.e. the improvement of the digital transformation process. This time, the information system for managing standards has been improved and one of the achieved results is the online access to the draft BAS standards under public discussion.

Prior to final approval, BAS standards are in the draft stage when a public discussion is taking place. The period of public discussion is the right time to involve stakeholders who do not actively participate in the adoption of standards, and want to know and comment on the content of a BAS standard.

Therefore, by introducing the online access service to the draft BAS standards, the Institute for Standardization of BiH has enabled all stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), consumer associations, non-governmental organizations and other professional associations to participate better and easier in a public discussion.

With this service, ISBIH fulfilled Article 38 of the Rulebook on the Procedure for Preparation, Adoption and Publication of BiH Standards ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 51/18), as well as Articles 4 and 5 of Regulation (EU) no. 1025/2012 on European standardization.
