Constitutive Session of Technical Committee BAS/TC 67 – Postal and Logistic Services

At the premises of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 9 September 2025, the constitutive session of Technical Committee BAS/TC 67 – Postal and Logistic Services was held.

The scope of this Technical Committee covers the preparation and adoption of proposals for BiH (BAS) standards, the adoption of international and European standards, as well as the revision of existing standards in the field of postal and logistic services. The aim of the Committee is to provide guidance to stakeholders in areas related to measuring the quality of postal services, hybrid mail, automatic identification and tracking of shipments, mailboxes, addressing, postal codes, and forms.

The official initiative to establish BAS/TC 67 was launched by the Communications Regulatory Agency of BiH, recognizing the need for standardization to contribute to improving the quality, security, and interoperability of postal and logistic services in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By establishing this Technical Committee, a framework is created for alignment with international practices and European directives, facilitating modernization of this sector, enhancing user experience, and opening new opportunities for market development.

The secretariat of this Technical Committee has been assigned to the Institute for Standardization of BiH in East Sarajevo. Nedim Moranjkić, MSc in Transport and Communications from the Communications Regulatory Agency of BiH, has been appointed as the TC Chairman, while Miljan Vasković, BSc, Associate at the Institute for Standardization of BiH, has been appointed as the Technical Secretary.

On this occasion, the Institute for Standardization of BiH would like to emphasize the importance of standardization in the field of postal and logistics services as a key element for increasing efficiency, quality, and competitiveness in the country and the region. The work of BAS/TC 67 will represent a significant step toward modernization and harmonization of domestic solutions with the best international practices, for the benefit of both providers and users of postal and logistics services.
