1st Session of the Council for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina
On Tuesday, 30 September 2025, the first session of the newly appointed Council for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held.
The Council for Standardization of BiH is a professional advisory body of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It consists of 25 members, distinguished experts from various fields from both entities, appointed by the Council of Ministers of BiH.
At the session, the appointed members of the Council and the members of the Commissions (the Commission for the General Standardization, the Commission for Electrotechnics, and the Commission for Telecommunications) were verified. Mr. Zlatan Salihović, a long-time associate of the Institute for Standardization of BiH, was elected as the President of the Council. The Rules of Procedure of the Council for Standardization were also reviewed and adopted. Additionally, information regarding the work of Technical Committees for tasks that cannot be addressed by the existing TC structure, the Draft Medium-Term Work Plan of the Institute for Standardization of BiH for 2026–2028, as well as the Proposed Work Programme of the Institute for Standardization of BiH for 2026 were presented to the members of the Council.
