A webinar for new members of Technical Committees (BAS/TCs) was held
On November 26, 2020, the Institute for Standardization of BiH held a webinar for new members of the Technical Committees (BAS/TCs).
The webinar was attended by 14 members of representatives of organizations admitted to the membership of Technical Committees in the period from January 2019 to the end of July 2020.
After the introductory greeting of the Head of the Department for Electrotechnical Standardization, in the first part of the presentation, Tihomir Anđelić, Head of the Department for General Standardization introduced the participants to the role of ISBIH in the standardization process in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the importance of stakeholder participation in standardization development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Biljana Baljaj, Senior Associate for General Standardization presented the internal rules for standardization with special reference to BAS PO 8.5-01, Rules of Procedure of the expert bodies of the Institute. BAS PO 8.5-01 defines the structure of Technical Committees, working groups, the manner of their establishment and designation, the role of the president, technical secretary, coordinator and members of the TCs and the obligations and rights of TC members. Finally, she emphasized the possibility of participating in the work at the international and European standardization.
Further, Miljan Vasković, Associate for Electrotechnical Standardization, presented BAS U 8.5-03, Instructions for the preparation, adoption and publication of BAS standards and other documents of BiH standardization. This part of the internal rules for standardization defines the entire process of BAS standards development through all stages of development, starting from the new project proposal of BAS standards to publicly available BAS standards, i.e. review and withdrawal of BAS standards.
Zvjezdan Šehovac, Head of the Department for Electrotechnical Standardization, presented to the audience the work in the restricted area on the ISBIH website for BAS/TC members with special attention to the documents located there, which are important for the work of TC members as well as other data available on that platform.
ISBIH will continue to organize this type of training in the future.
