The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through its Technical Committee BAS/TC 41, Pressure Equipment and Containers, has published three standards by translation method that define the valve terminology.

• BAS EN 736-1: 2020, Valves - Terminology - Part 1: Definition of types of valves. This standard specifies the denominations of valves to provide a uniform and systematic terminology for all types of valves with illustrative examples.

• BAS EN 736-2: 2020, Valves - Terminology - Part 2: Definitions of components of valves. This standard specifies the names of components of valves and their definitions.

• BAS EN 736-3: 2020, Valves - Terminology - Part 3: Definitions of terms. This standard defines the terms and their definitions used for several types of valves. These terms concern the pressures and temperatures, the dimensions, the design, the flow control characteristics and the test of valves.
