BAS ISO 1596:2023, second edition, is a translation of the English version of the international standard ISO 11596:2021, Jewellery and precious metals – Sampling of precious metals and precious metal alloys.

The original text of the international standard was prepared by the Technical Committee ISO/TC 174, Jewellery and precious metals.

This document specifies a method of sampling precious metals and precious metal alloys for the determination of their precious metal content and for the assessment of their homogeneity. The document is applicable to raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products and is intended to be used only for the sampling of entirely metallic materials.

BAS ISO 11596:2023 is translated from English to Bosnian language.

In case of any dispute in the interpretation of the text, the original standard in English shall prevail.

This BiH standard was prepared by the Technical Committee BAS/TC 38, Metrology and Measurements.
