The new third edition of the BiH standard was published. BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2018, General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. The standard is adopted by translating international standard ISO/IEC 17025: 2017, General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

This standard specifies the general requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of testing and calibration laboratories and is applicable to all organizations performing laboratory activities. It is also used in confirming or recognizing the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.<

On 30 November 2017, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the third edition of ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. 2016 ILAC Resolution GA 20.15 stipulates a transitional period of three years from the date of publication of the new version.

BiH standard BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2018 has been prepared by BAS/TC 3/WG 1, Conformity Assessment and adopted by BAS/TC 3, Quality Management and Quality Assurance.
