stiffened on only one surface, the reference middle surface is still taken as the middle surface of the curved
shell plate. The middle surface is the reference surface for analysis, and can be discontinuous at changes of
thickness or shell junctions, leading to eccentricities that are important to the shell response. |

| Definition (SR) | Površina koja leži između unutrašnje i spoljašnje površine ljuske u svakoj tački. Ako je ljuska ukrućena na samo jednoj površi, referentna srednja površ se i dalje smatra srednjom površi zakrivljene ploče ljuske.
Srednja površ je referentna površ u analizama, i može biti diskontinualna pri promjenama debljine ili na spojevima ljuske, što dovodi do ekscentriciteta koji mogu biti od značaja za ponašanje ljuske. |
