Term (EN)magneto-optic effect
Definition (EN)A change in the optical characteristics of a material under the influence of a magnetic field. Notes. 1 — Magneto-optic materials generally are used to rotate the polarisation of a linearly polarised wave. 2 — The most common effect results in a change in refractive index.

Term (SR)magneto-optički efekat
Definition (SR)Promjena optičkih karakteristika materijala pod uticajem magnetnog polja. Napomene 1 - Magneto-optički materijali uglavnom se koriste za rotiranje polarizacije linearno polarizovanih talasa. 2 - Najčešći efekat dovodi do promjene indeksa prelamanja.
