| Definicija (EN) | amount of heat which would be released by the complete combustion in air of a specified quantity of gas, in
such a way that the pressure at which the reaction takes place remains constant, and all the products of
combustion are returned to the same specified temperature as that of the reactants
NOTE 1 It is divided into two types: superior calorific value and inferior calorific value.
NOTE 2 Both superior and inferior calorific values, which differ by the heat of condensation of water formed by combustion, can
be specified on a molar, mass or volumetric basis. For the volumetric basis the pressure and temperature shall be stated at standard
reference conditions.
NOTE 3 Calorific values can also be stated as dry or wet, depending on the water vapour content of the gas prior to combustion.
NOTE 4 The effect of water vapour on the calorific values, either directly measured or calculated, is described in Annex F of
ISO 6976:1995.
NOTE 5 Normally, the calorific value is expressed as the superior, dry value specified as a volumetric basis under standard
reference conditions.

vraćaju na istu određenu temperaturu kao što je temperatura reaktanata
Napomena 1 uz termin: Podijeljena je na dvije vrste: gornja toplotna vrijednost i donja toplotna vrijednost.
Napomena 2 uz termin: I gornja i donja toplotna vrijednost, koje se razlikuju po toploti kondenzacije vode stvorene sagorijevanjem,
mogu se navesti na molarnoj, masenoj ili zapreminskoj osnovi. Za zapreminsku osnovu pritisak i temperatura će biti navedeni na
standardnim referentnim uslovima.
Napomena 3 uz termin: Toplotne vrijednosti se mogu navesti i kao suve ili vlažne, zavisno od sadržaja vodene pare u gasu prije
sagorijevanja.
Napomena 4 uz termin: Efekat vodene pare na toplotne vrijednosti, bilo direktno izmjerene ili izračunate, opisan je u Aneksu F
standarda ISO 6976:1995.
Napomena 5 uz termin: Obično se toplotna vrijednost izražava kao gornja, suva vrijednost navedena kao zapreminska osnova po
standardnim referentnim uslovima.
